The Parish of St. Andrew with St. Anne Auckland

The Bell Tower of St. Andrew's

Situated in the market town of Bishop Auckland, some twelve miles to the south-west of Durham City, the parish of St. Andrew with St. Anne comprises, as its name implies, two churches: the large 13th Century parish church of St. Andrew on the south east side of the town towards Shildon and St. Anne’s, located centrally on the Market Place not far from the entrance to Auckland Castle, the Palace of the Bishops of Durham.

More about each church is to be found on their individual pages on this site, but each of them is characterised by congregations of committed, kind-hearted people who guarantee any newcomer or visitor the warmest of welcomes in either church.

We hope that, as a result of visiting this website, you will feel encouraged to come along to our churches or get in touch, so that we can enjoy making you feel at home here with us.
